Reifegerste Trio - Record Release "Am I"

The new CD from the Simone Reifergerste Trio, titled “Am I”, is released right on time fpr the tour start. Simone’s countless fans will find the singer-songwriter’s long anticipated highly crafted, acoustic album well worth the wait. Their previous CD “Live Im Oxident” was released in 2007.
Because of the rare availability of a beautiful Bechstein piano, “Am I” was recorded over a two day period in the comfortable living room of a long-time fan. The intimate, sensitive atmosphere offered an opportunity for the trio’s outstandingly musical pianist Chris Szachnowski (Poland) and exceptional saxophone and flutist Joe Kucera (Czech Republic) to exhibit their talents in an unusually natural surrounding. One can literally experience, in the wee hours, a wine glass being set on a table as the clock on the wall quietly ticks in the background.
On the “Am I” CD the Reifergerste Trio not only interprets in their own way classic jazz and blues gems familiar to fans attending their concerts but, also, excellent original compositions, excursions into the world of electronic music produced at Simone’s own Backyard Princess Studio.
From November 10th through December 16th of 2011 will be presenting the new “Am I” album in concerts throughout Germany and the Czech Republic.
