has played with many big names in the world of jazz, and he has always be at home as well with blues, rock and songs. He plays his tunes with such ease, humour and virtuosity as if he was living in the center of all sounds. It is a pleasure to hear and watch him play.
Born in Prague, C/, he won his first jazz awards at the age of 20, playing clarinet, flute and saxophone. In the following years he played with Alexis Korner, Tony Sheridan, Jackie Leven and Czech legend Marta Kubisova and he has been live on stage for many years with Jesse Ballard, Hans Hartmann and Pete Wyoming Bender. In 1997 he founded the highly acclaimed annual ‘Berlin Jazz Meeting’ which he curated until 2007, followed by the Europe Blues Train Festival with its first stops in Berlin and Prague in 2009.
